
Golden Horn & Pera are two different parts of the city located on either shores of the Golden Horn, an important water canal. The tour focuses on the old neighborhoods, including Fener, an important Greek Orthodox section of the town where the Greek Othodox Patriarch is located. The tour will visit Balat in the old Jewish Quarter, where the old syngagoue of Ahrida, some old Jewish Houses and local shops are located. The tour will also visit Eyup, an important neighborhood for Muslims with the most sacred site for Muslims in Istanbul is located- the Eyup Mosque. The tour will also visit Pera, the popular cultural centre of the city where minorities used to live. This tour will give you a glimpse of two different sides that are less touristy.

Itinerary
The most dominating landmark of the Golden Horn skyline fitfully opens the tour - the Suleymaniye Mosque, a reflection of the Ottoman Empire at its peak. Next, gaze upon the breathtaking series of Byzantine mosaics and frescoes within the Chora Church. Afterwards, enjoy a coffee atop Pierre Loti Hill in Eyup, alongside a spectacular view of the Golden Horn. After visiting the Eyup Sultan Mosque, cross to the other side of the Golden Horn where you will walk the streets of Pera, the cultural center of the city. Finally, end the day with a breathtaking full-circle panoramic view of the Golden Horn, Pera and the Bosphorus, from the Genoese Galata Tower.
