Yesil Ev

Yesil Ev is an old Ottoman Mansion built in late 19th century later converted into an Istanbul boutique hotel. It is located in the heart of the old town with prime location offering comfortable, top quality lodging with the warm and friendly atmosphere of an old Istanbul home.

At the begining of the 20th century the area around Yesil Ev was subjected to development which lead to unfortunate consequences for the mansion and the surrounding area. The family that owned Yesil Ev at the time moved from the house and so Yesil Ev was neglected. It remained in bad shape until Turkish Touring and Automobile Association bought the building. The wooden building was far beyond repair so it was demolished and rebuilt again. All rooms layout and exterior were carefully preserved and remade as an exact replica.

The building is furnished like a 19th century winter mansion. Just across St. Sophia and Blue Mosque the location is suberp. After reopening 1984 Yesil Ev quickly gained a worldwide reputation and was awarded the medal by Europa Nostra. Yesil Ev has became a premier accommodation in the old town, and has realised a new era in Turkish Tourism by combining modern standards with historical traditions.

Being small hotel the facilities and services are limited compared to other big hotels. However, the hotel gives personalized service to its guests. The Restaurant offers traditional turkish dishes in a fine dining setting. Inside the restaurant offers a romantic setting while outside the garden with its colourful flowers, trees and charming pool fountain offer a very peaceful environment for its guests.

Policy on children staying with parents:
- Children between 0 and 6 years old stay free of charge when sharing the room with two adults.
- Children between 7 and 12 years old receive a 50% discount when sharing the room with two adults.
- Children over 12 years old are charged as adults.

Cancellation Policy:
- No penalty applies for cancellations made 7 days or more prior to check-in date.
- Cancellations made within 7 days of arrival date incur a fee of 1 nights room rate.
